I am honored to be the Lead Pastor here at Coast Hills Church! As a California native, I grew up in a strong Christian home in Fountain Valley, but it wasn’t until I turned 21 that I really gave my life to Christ. I soon began attending a local Bible college and earned a BA in Biblical theology, but more importantly, that is when I really began to pursue a real and right relationship with Jesus. Soon after Bible College, Deborah and I were married and we began a lifetime of ministry. We have served in the local church in youth ministry, children's ministry, pastoral care, and church planting. I spent 26 years in Christian education as a teacher, administrator, and high school principal.  

I enjoy listening to books and podcasts, surfing Upper Trestles, and dabbling in triathlons. I also love spending time with my family. Deborah and I have three young adults: Micah, Danny, and Luke. I am so thankful and proud of the young men they are becoming and the relationships we share.

We have lived in Aliso Viejo for more than twenty years. This community is my home, and I am so excited to serve the Lord here. We love Coast Hills and have been attending since 2017. We know that this is a special church with a great history, loving people, engaging worship, and a faithful adherence to God’s Word. I look forward to seeing what God has in store for us together. Pastor Denny, the founding pastor of Coast Hills, was fond of a saying which I believe is true: “The best is yet to come!”
